Demorgorgon, if your XBMC box is a windows machine just open the properties of the folders you want to share by right clicking on them and look for the sharing tab. There you can set up sharing to be able to open that folder from your laptop. They both have to be in the same workgroup/domain for it to WDTV HD Live No Longer Connecting To My Network - WD TV

Re: [SOLVED] XBMC can't connect to the internet Thanks I just installed a fresh Arch system and then xbmc and had the same problem - I didn't have an older version of curl on my new system of course but it was easy to get from ARM and now xbmc is connecting to internet. I have tried a fresh install and have not done the wizard. in order to isolate the issue. the unit itself DOES have access to the internet. I can browse outside of XBMC as well as download the APK to get a sept 22 build of xbmc for Ouya. the issue is not my connectivity on my network the issue is definitely with XBMC.

If they decide to check into your internet use and they find evidence of you streaming or downloading, they could kick you off their network or even pass your details on to law enforcement
